Q : Is there a consignment fee on horses, mules and ponies? 
 A : 1. Colorado Draft Horse & Equip. Auction: Yes, $30.00 per head non- refundable consignment fee paid in advance. Commission on Horses 8% $75.00 No Sale Fee, $15.00 Stall Fee. 2. Mile High Select Sale: Yes, 125.00 per head non-refundable catalog fee paid in advance. Commission is 8%, $100.00 No Sale Fee, $25.00 Stall Fee.  

 Q : Is there a consignment fee on equipment, harness and collars? 
 A : No consignment fee on these items. Commission rate per item: $1.00 to $100.00 35% $101.00 to $500.00 16% over $500.00 12%  

 Q : Do horses and mules need to be pre consigned before the auction? 
 A : yes, all horses must be pre-consigned for Colorado Draft Horse & Equipment Auction and the Mile High Select Sale. 

 Q : What type of paper work is needed to consign horses and mules? 
 A : We have a form here on our website that needs to be completed and fees paid before consignment is official.  

 Q : Can we consign horses and mules online? 
 A : Yes. Click on consignment and you have two choices, consign online or print form and follow instructions. 

 Q : Can we consign horses and mules right up to auction day? 
 A : All horses, mules and ponies need to be pre consigned prior to the auction. Consignment will close for horses no later than a week prior to the auction. We always recommend getting your consignments, pictures and videos to us early so we can advertise for you. 

 Q : Will you take any kind of horse and mule? 
 A : No, we only accept well broke, sound horses and mules. If they are over 2 years old, they should be broke to ride or drive. No loose horses accepted. 

 Q : When can horses be stalled in barns? 
 A : Barns are not open for stalling until 8:00 AM on Thursday before the sale.  

 Q : Do we need a brand inspection? 
 A : Yes, all animals coming from a brand state must have a brand inspection in the sellers name.  

 Q : What day do horses sell 
 A : Ranch type riding horses (saddle horses) sell April 11, 2025 starting at 5:00 p.m. Draft Horses, Crossbreds, Mules, and Ponies sell April 12, 2025 starting at 9:00 a.m.  

 Q : When is check-in for carriages, wagons, harness & equipment. 
 A : Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. No equipment check-in on Friday.

 Q : Any changes for the Colorado Draft Horse & Equipment Auction in 2025? 
 A : Yes, we are now accepting good, new & used tack, small horse related antiques and collectibles. As years previous, we still accept saddles, collars, and harness. All items will be screened before accepting consignment.
